Raymond Doumar



Ray, born in Norfolk, Virginia, is a World War II veteran who served in the Army Air Corps until his honorable discharge in 1946.

Ray received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Detroit and is an active member of the Michigan Bar as well as the State Bar of Florida, since 1953.

Ray is a former Fort Lauderdale municipal judge, Assistant County Solicitor for Broward County, and has served on the Disciplinary Review Commission of the Florida Bar. He is, since its inception, the legal counsel for Jackie Gleason PGA lnverrary Classic Golf Tournament (now the Honda Classic). Ray presently serves as a member of the board of directors of the Union Bank of Florida.

Ray is engaged in the general practice of law concentrating in the area of probate and estate planning, and administrative law. He is recognized, in Florida, as an expert in alcoholic beverage matters, involving the origination and transfer of licenses and representation of licensees charged with alcoholic beverage license violations.

Ray is very interested in charitable endeavors including the formation of the Fort Lauderdale Children's Theatre, the Junior Golf Association of Broward County, and is a trustee as well as general counsel to The Honda Classic PGA Golf Tournament, whose proceeds are distributed to the Boys Club and Boy Scouts as well as other charities.

Ray resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with his wife, Mitzi, and the Doumar family consists of two sons, two daughters, and ten grandchildren.

Ray Doumar is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida, Michigan and before the United States Supreme Court.
